Well-preserved cartonnage pectoral in original condition, a linen and plaster painted vignette with the female protector deity holding feathers in either raised arm, kneeling and with wings spread. Here you find an ancient egyptian bronze figure of the goddess heket with a swan on her head. Two styles from the Egyptian and Greek period integrated into one figure. Therefore dates to the Ptolemaic period. (Zeus came to Leda in the form of a swan in Greek mythology).Unfortunately more detailed than the picture portrays. Measures 3 inches wide.

Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this nice pair of Egyptian cartonnage feet. These nicely designed cartonnage pieces once adorned the soles of the mummy's feet and formed the base of shoes that would be worn in the afterlife. This particular pair features colors of blue and yellow and remain in excellent condition with some loss to the upper-right corner on one piece.
