Relics of the Nile is sad to report that Ben Wallis (of Buy Ancient, Buyancient.com) has taken many of my artifacts without paying. Included is this large papyrus scroll that was professionally unrolled. The overall display width is approximately 30" x 10" tall and consists of several small pieces. He may or may not have already resold this piece but it is being reported to the authorities as stolen and is being reported to the Art Loss Registry. If anyone has any information on its whereabou... Click for details

Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this nice pair of Egyptian cartonnage feet. These nicely designed cartonnage pieces once adorned the soles of the mummy's feet and formed the base of shoes that would be worn in the afterlife. This particular pair features colors of blue and yellow and remain in excellent condition with some loss to the upper-right corner on one piece. The papyrus base for the cartonnage is seen beneath the original pigment. A nice display. Egyptian, Greco-Roman peri... Click for details
