Light blue/green glazed faience shabti of Neferu, he wears a striated tripartite wig that reaches the length of his ceremonial beard. Arms folded across chest, only the hands are exposed. Each leg is a massive, solid piece of Egyptian architecture measuring 21" in height, in addition to the custom mount for the pair. Each leg is brightly painted with a yellow ochre background with designs in red and black. Here you find a fine marble head of the child horus. Unfortunately the side-lock is no longer present. Horus child is wearing the crown of Upper and Lower Egypt. On the front of the crown we find a uraeus or cobra. Portion of finger on the lips still present. This is one of the finest small marble heads I have seen. Measure 4 inches and is intact as shown. These nicely designed cartonnage pieces once adorned the soles of the mummy's feet and formed the base of shoes that would be worn in the afterlife. This particular pair features colors of blue and yellow and remain in excellent condition with some loss to the upper-right corner on one piece. Here you find a well provenanced Ancient Egyptian Wood Falcon from the Ptolemaic Period, 305-30 BC. Polychromed gesso on wood and intact save for some gesso loss as seen in photo. Eyes and beak are delineated with black pigment and most of the body done in a red and white. Measures 16 cm in length.
