Dating to Ankor Wat circa 12th century AD, Cambodia.
Chinese painted pottery horse and rider, the rider wearing tunic and sitting on a saddle cloth, the horse standing on rectangular base, ears pricked and a tail, with red pigment remaining. Thermoluminescence test from Oxford is included.

A very rare Dong Son bronze standing nude male stargazer figure of slender form with long curved arms. Depicted with head tilted back similar to other idols from the same period. The button shaped eyes with spirals- as if in some hypnotic trance. Attached at feet to a bronze plate which probably once formed its original mounting. A magnificent piece of rare ancient sculpture, Intact with no restoration or repairs. Displays a beautiful lustrous green patina.... Click for details

Gandharan large gray Schist of Shakyamuni (the sage of the Shakya clan, another name for the historical Buddha.) Seated in lotus position on two tiered plinth. Hands in dharmachakramudra setting in motion the Wheel of Law symbolizing the teachings of Buddha. Wearing flowing robe over one shoulder tucked around his legs. N.B. Hairline crack from hands to base. Ex: Michael Longazel collection. 22" high and in very good condition.
Gandharan Schist Frieze of Buddha and the Acolytes, ca. 2nd - 3rd Century CE. Relief of standing Buddha wearing flowing robe, hand raised in abhhayamudra, the dispelling of fear or the giving of protection. Flanked by two Acolytes with finely detailed featured. Figured framed by columns and surmounted by a roof and bird with outstretched wings. Ex: Michael Longazel collection. 13 1/4" high x 10 1/2" wide. In excellent condition.
