Two pairs of epichyseis, one in ovoid shape with large wreaths on body centered by rosette, other pair is reel-shaped with grape vines on shoulders and band or key across body. All vessels with a mold-made lion-head mask where handle joins the rim, circa 340 - 320 B.C.E., Ovoid paid has small chip on one foot and 8" high, Reel-shaped pair 6 1/2". In good condition.

Here you find a splendid Ancient Greek Red-Figured Lekythos from Southern Italy. This Lekythos dates to approximately 350 B.C. and depicts a small child playing with a ring in one hand and a strand of beads in the other (painted in a cream colour). On his feet we find a pair of white slippers. Very clear facial and body features, done in black highlights. Has a nice elegant spout and handle, standing on a wide foot. An exceptional piece of Ancient South Italian pottery. This vessel is referred to as a Thistle Mug or Thistle Cup. It sits on a high foot with a bulbous base and a beautiful flaring rim. Attached to the rim is an intact double shaped handled. Around the rim we find a band of flowers and just below the egg and dot motif. The typical Lady of Fashion adorns this vessel. Red-Figure Apulian Stamnoid Pyxis from the TPS Group. A very rare form for a pyxis, knob handle now missing from lid and has a nice red wash over the reserve area. The details of the female of fashion are done in white and yellow. The lid has a spoke patter with elongated stripes and Chevron pattern just underneath the rim. Ancient Apulian small red-figured kothon with a double handle in the form of a Herculean Knot. Ovoid body and a thin overhanging lip with tongue pattern in black on top and bottom of lip. Just below we find an egg and dot pattern. The body is decorated with the Lady of Fashion wearing a radiate stephane, ribbon sakkos, necklace and earrings.
