Stunning Holy Land terracotta bowl measuring 14 cm in diameter, 4.1 cm high with a circumference of 44.1 cm. The bowl was excavated in Israel and is dated ca. 1st century AD, the Roman Period and also the time of Christ. The clay is a buff color with a red slip and worldwide shipping is free. Large Babylonian / Persian Incantation Bowl written in Mandaic script, circa 6th - 8th Century CE. Found in The Holy Land. FULLY TRANSLATED, this bowl asks for health and welfare of dwelling of Nihye, son of Niway and Mihroy daughter of Maskoy. Intact with earthen encrustation due to age. Entirely legible script pigment, and in excellent condition. 11" diameter.
