A beautiful black and whit olla with vivid black against a brilliant while slip. It measures 7.5 " x 4.9" and has a chip in the rim where struck with a shovel. Pindale black and whites are one of the two best know examples of black and white and are very scarce in top condition. There is no restoration or addition of paint on this piece.

This is a mint Showlow (1300AD) polychrome olla measuring 5.5" x 4.5" with a wonderful polish and glazed paint - the white appearing like an enamel. The colors are vivid and there is the image of a parrot on the side with a very large eye. Exceptional in all respects with no restoration of any kind.

This is an exceptonal Pinedale Black and orange olla measuring 6.3" x 5.5" and has a nearly perfect design with the best line work I have seen on a Pinedale. The slip exhibits a high polish and the black paint is glazed - there is no restoration of any kind.
This olla sold to a collector for $2,500 three years ago.

In early July of this year a rancher, while digging a trench for a waterline, unearthed this bowl on his private ranch land outside of Duncan Arizona. SOME PEOPLE HAVE ALL THE LUCK!! The Mimbres picture bowl measures 6.75 inches by 3.25 inches and has two perfectly executed opposing images of cranes. This is an amazing MATCHED PAIR of Anasazi earrings each measuring 2.25 inches wide and 2.10 inches tall. These were discovered in the fall of 1982 while excavating a Reserve (C. 1100 -1200AD) ruin just south of Reserve New Mexico. The earrings are made from two scallop shells that had to have been traded from the distant shores of what is now the Sea of Cortez or possibly the Pacific Ocean. Anasazi, Basket Maker II (C. 200AD– 500AD) sandal measuring 7 inches by 4.5 inches is made from twisted yucca fibers. This is a very interesting example as it is in perfect condition and shows clearly how this type is made. The sole is a crisscross weave of a twisted set of yucca fibers about 3/8" to 1/2" in diameter. This is a Pueblo 1 ladle in mint condition with, having never been cleaned, original cave deposits. It measures 6 inches long and 3.75 inches wide with a hard polished white slip. The rim has a solid black line with the interior exhibiting, for the period, a relatively complex design. Early ladles are relatively scarce compared to the P2 and P3 periods.
