A nicely decorated Achaemenid bronze bowl. The bowl was cast and three bands of stamped and incised decoration were added by hand. This shape was used often in Persian metal work of the Achaemenid Empire and was adopted by other cultures such as the Greeks and was also seen in glass of the Roman period.
