An excellent Cupisnique double-chambered vessel from Peru, ca. 1200 200 BC. This superb example is 8-1/2 high and depicts a pair of conjoined fruit, each 6-3/4 long. The highly burnished slip has beautiful color variations from yellow and olive, to deep black tips. In excellent condition, with extensive dendrites.

A large Chancay figural urn from Peru, ca. 1100 1450 AD. This choice chicha urn is 14-1/2 high and depicts a traditional cup bearer. He is holding a small kero with both hands and is adorned with large ear ornaments, facial tattoos and the simple crown typical of these figures. In excellent condition.
From north-coastal Peru, ca. 1100 to 1400 A.D. Ancient pottery bridge / stirrup spouted vessel from the Chancay culture with twin drum-shaped vessels connected by a strap handle. Atop the left drum sits a small bird with whistle in its head, spout emerging from the right side. An exceptional Nazca polychrome jar from Peru, ca. 400 500 AD. This choice example is 6-3/4 high, 6-1/2 in diameter and features three depictions of Rayed Heads with Protruding Tongues. This motif is a symbol associated with fertility and was derived from earlier AMB representations. Vivid paint, good mineral deposits, a professionally restored stress crack.
Very sweet! Virtually perfect ancient Kero from the Nazca culture of southern Peru, ca 200 to 400 AD. Polychrome drinking cup decorated in white, red and black depicting a dancing ritual with eight figures in almost caricature form, each holding a staff in their hand as they dance around the vessel. 4"H x 3-5/8"D, intact/choice.

A magnificent Moche II effigy bottle from Peru, ca. 100 200 AD. This superb vessel is 7-1/2 high and features a gorgeous owl executed in wonderful detail. The enigmatic face is highly expressive, the wings are molded in high relief and detailed with crisp incising and the elongated claws seem to be reaching for the rodent on the front of the chamber.
