We have been fortunate to purchase 3 of these very rare Late Roman, Nordendorf style fibulae. Germanic in origin and dating to the late 4th to middle 5th century. Large decorated flared head, half-circular bridge and tapering base, this would have held a heavy cloak in place and may very well have been in the possession of a military officer. Heavy ancient bronze bracelet from the northern reaches of the Roman Empire, ca 200 to 350 AD. Decorated with ribbing down entire length, with stippled decorations at edges and chevron incised areas at terminals. Quite stable and wearable, with lovely deep red/green patina. 3"D, in excellent to near-choice condition. Custom lucite stand.

Large and amazing example of ancient Roman Glass! Ca. 1st - 2nd century AD, barrel-shaped body with slightly-concave base, with short neck and wide folded disc rim, with a broad applied combed strap handle.
