Roman, ca 200 to 400 AD. Pottery oil lamp with small rounded wick hole, small handle and dimpled surface, signed on base "LOREN" with small circular maker's marks above and below. 3-3/4" L by 2-1/2" W and intact and generally excellent.

Large and amazing example of ancient Roman Glass! Ca. 1st - 2nd century AD, barrel-shaped body with slightly-concave base, with short neck and wide folded disc rim, with a broad applied combed strap handle. Clear glass - actually quite rare to find this colorless - now with incredibly silvery iridescent patina. 5-1/4"H (13 mm) x 5"D (12.7 mm), intact and choice.
