This is a nice group of three large ancient Egyptian faience pottery sherds. They make a great study group. The pieces are sherds dating from the early Islamic occupation period in Egyptian history. Found in Egypt by a husband/wife archaeological team, these pieces make an excellent group for studying the composition of faience through ancient times. Great iridescence. The largest piece in the group measures 6" in length. These are good pieces with nice colours and glaze remain. Provenance provided to purchaser. |
