Amarna faience is by FAR the most sought after by discriminating collectors. It's bright colours and detailed depictions illustrate the pinnacle of Egyptian expression in the medium of faience. This fantastically rare object typifies this highest standard of faience production.
This amulet depicts a scaraboid in bright, blue faience. It's underside marked distinctly with an X Measures: 13 mm long. Condition: Pristine, choice and intact. It appears to be missing a piece from the reverse, but this is not the case, as the piece is glazed over in this area entirely. Provenance provided to purchaser. |
