Excellent XXXth Dynasty Faience Shabti for a Scribe
This is a wonderful example. Dating to the XXXth Dynasty in Egyptian history, circa 380 - 343 BC. Standing with typical farming implements (pick and hoe) and seed sack slung over his left shoulder, inscribed with T-Band of hieroglyphic reading The Illuminated, The Osiris, Scribe, Men-Nef-?, Born of Men-nf-Thot-?, Justified.

Measures 108 mm tall. Affixed to a permanent plinth, which, when measured with the shabti, measures 128 mm tall.

Condition: Intact, and excellent, with no repairs or restorations. The glaze is not very sheer, and remains porous, which is evidence of the piece having been soaked in groundwater for a very extended period of time. However, this process of eroding the glassy surface has not affected the piece's stability.

Provenance provided to purchaser.
