This is a magnificent necklace assembled from ancient Egyptian and modern elements. The majority of the beads are faience, dating from between 1500 BC and 200 AD. The ribbed, clay beads are from the Roman Period, circa 200 BC - 200 AD. The central pendant amulet depicts Shu, God of Air. This faience amulet dates to the Late Period in Egyptian history, circa 664 - 332 BC. Condition: Intact and CHOICE!
The necklace measures 18" in length. A lovely piece which can be safely worn on those special occasions. The clasp is silver, and the beads are strung on a nylon-coated stainless steel flexcord for security and preservation. Provenance of the beads provided to purchaser. |
