This is a very nice example of ancient Egyptian Late Period (664-332 BC) faience shabti. These were used as servants to the deceased for the afterlife, placed in large quantities in the tomb with the mummy.
Measures: 113 mm (4.48") tall. Condition: Some losses to the glaze, as seen, but not repaired or restored. A very nice, rich blue example. Provenance provided to purchaser. |
