This lovely amulet is rendered in blue-glazed faience and represents Shu, God of Air. Condition: Minor abrasion to glaze, but does not detract. Otherwise intact. Measures: 25.62 mm in length. About Shu: In the pantheon of Egyptian deities, Shu was the son of Re-Atum-Khepri, or, the Sun. He was the brother and husband of Tefnet, or heat. He was the God of Air, who symbolized the vital breath of life. |
