| This group of twelve individually priced ancient rings seals (100.57L, Q, AB, AH, AL, AP, AT, AV, BF, BG, BQ, and 101.AHHD) are all engraved (one is molded glass so it is impressed) in intaglio style with imagery that includes: Bull, Man, Ruler, Tamgha, Chimera, Antelope, Oryx, Centaur, a Knot, and Kufic Script). Condition ranges from poor to excellent. All were found in western Afghanistan during the Russian occupation, and all but one are from the Sassanian Empire dating c.300-600AD. Each photo shows first our inventory number in brackets followed by the image type and then a grade estimate (1-10). Next comes the largest dimension in millimeters (mm) and then the material type. The cultural group is listed next followed by the approximate age of the seal. A brief comment about condition precedes the price. Select or ask any question by referring first to the Trocadero Item Number on this page, and then to our Inventory Number shown on the given photograph. Each artifact comes in a small plastic bag stapled to a descriptive card that is accompanied by both a map of Afghanistan highlighting the area in which the seal was found and our certificate guaranteeing authenticity. NOTE: if you would like to view a large number of our various listings, and at the same time limit your browsing, try our ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’ by simply spelling out the word TWELVE in the search box. That will quickly bring up all of our listings that have twelve different items on a page, each individually priced! | |||||||||||||||
