| The interesting and diverse items in this group of twelve individually priced prehistoric stone tools (TEH 132, 134, 138, 139, 142, 145-149, 152 and 156) are all from the estate of the late Chester Howard, early Colorado collector and founder of the Colorado Mineral Society. The group includes one or more of each of the following types: celt, mano, hammer, stone pigment vessel, axe and maul. Rock types include: greenstone, vesicular basalt, hollow concretion, basalt and hematite. Condition ranges from 3-10 and prices range from $60-$125. The provenance of the tools includes: Mexico, Great Basin, Arizona, New Mexico, and general Four Corners. Each photo shows a different tool. The inventory number appears in brackets, followed by the tool type, and the approximate numerical grade (with 10 being the highest). Next comes the maximum size, followed by the approximate time period. If known or suspected, the provenance follows next. A comment concerning condition is finally followed by the price.
