A very nice Parthian bronze trilobate, socketed arrowpoint excavated on the site of an ancient settlement in northeastern Iran and dated ca. 200 BC. The article measures 2.3 cm and is covered with a green patina. The arrowhead is in excellent condition and the point and blades are still quite sharp. At the time this arrowpoint was manufactured there were millions of bronze articles being made for the general population, businesses, the governments and the military. The Parthians were extremely expert with the bow and arrow. During battle, in a false display of retreat, they would turn in their saddles and let go a very accurate shot. Thus the expression, "parting shot". Our Certificate of Authenticity with guarantee is included and worldwide shipping is always free.
