An extremely nice terracotta bowl excavated in Israel and dated 1st - 3rd century AD, the Roman Period. The bowl measures 18.1 cm in diameter and 4.9 cm high. The clay is an orange color with a red slip and there is a raised ring base. Shipping is free and the bowl is in excellent condition. Plates, oil lamps and bowls were in daily use in the ancient world and were also frequently utilized as funerary objects for use in the afterlife.
