| Relics of the Nile is thrilled to present this magnificent ancient Gold Roman Hairpin with a beautiful large glass attached at the end. This piece comes from the Roman Empire, Ca. 1st century A.D.! The hairpin features absolutely choice design. The highlight is the superb "cage"-like design at the end of the pin. This holds a brilliant large blue glass bead in place. Above the glass is a nicely designed loop. The long shaft of the hairpin is in excellent condition and very sharp at the end. The piece is in the same condition as it was 2,000 years ago! Another attribute of this piece is that it is large in size as well, measuring 2 5/8" in length. The combination of superbly skilled design, precious stone, and the choice of Gold as the medium make this one of the more precious pieces of jewelry available anywhere! Once worn by Roman nobility, this is a highly desireable artifact! Very rarely available to collectors. A beautiful piece of history, and an excellent display. | ||
