Brilliant Bright Egyptian Ushabti W/Glyphs!

Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this superb ancient Egyptian ushabti with a vertical box of glyphs running down the center. This example exhibits a tremendous bright ancient blue faience glaze remaining. The facial features of the ushabti are outstanding. The Nemes headcloth, the facial features, and the hands holding the agricultural instruments are extremely crisp and masterfully formed. The glyphs on the front are magnificently clear and have been formed in the vertical style. They have not yet been translated. This style was very popular during this period. The back pillar also dates this ushabti to the 26th Dynasty (664 - 525 B.C.). A wonderful large piece that measures 4 3/8" in height and makes an impressive display.
