| An excellent Cupisnique bottle from Peru, ca. 1200 – 200 AD. This large example is 10-1/2” high and is decorated with four connected depictions of stylized Fanged Deity heads. Also known as "Coastal Chavin", Cupisnique vessels show greater artistic flexibility than the more rigidly controlled motifs from the Chavin de Huetar sites. Overall in excellent condition, with strong mineral deposits, trails and just minor pitting. | ||
