Ancient Indian sandstone head of Buddha relief fragment

A large and impressive Indian carved sandstonne relif fragment depicting the head of Buddha wearing a multi tiered pointed headdress, elongated ears. Carved with a low relief floral decoration on the reverse. Mounted on custom wooden base.

Dating to circa 10th-12th century AD.

Measures 15cm height / 20cm height inc stand.
