A rare Luristan anthropomorphic bronze tube, depicted with two opposing faces, similar to the Janus head. Sugestions from various texts state these tubes were possibly a represtenation of a phallus, to do with fertility. The piece displays very fine features and a marvelous deep green patina. Comes with featured display stand. Dating to circa 8th-7th century BC, Luristan. Measures 11.8cm length / 12.8cm on stand. Ex-private West Australian collection.
