A superb gold plaque in repousse depicting three stylized mythological animal heads emanating from the recessed centre. Originally the recesses would of been embellished with turquoise, now missing. Dating to circa 5th century BC, Russian Steppes. Measures 5.7cm diameter / 8.5cm height on stand. Ex-UK private collection. |
