A fine example of an ancient Roman oil lamp! Dating to the 2nd century A.D., this ancient lamp was manufactured in Carthage, North Africa, but was found in the Roman town of Tyre, in present-day Lebanon. Foliate pattern around central fill hole and deep red slip. 3-3/4"L, intact and generally excellent.
