A very special bronze cast figure of Harpokrates, the Egyptian child-god. From the ancient Roman-occupation period, ca 50 BC to 100 AD, he is shown nude, legs crossed, hands to lips in gesture indicating silence. Wonderful deep-green patina throughout. 2-1/4"H, seated upon custom stone stand. Choice condition, but may have once been attached to another figure or base.
