Rare and large Chinese painted pottery horse with removable head and a cavalryman, black and red pigments remaining. The horse has no leg and the rider has no arm because in the past these leg and arm were made from wood. However, due to long time underground, so the wood could not survive.
The last photo shows the auction result by the Sotheby's on November 7, 2007 for the similar horse. The auction result is 3,750 GBP or around $7,500. Age: China, Han Dynasty, circa 206 B.C. - A.D. 220
