Here you find an ancient egyptian bronze figure of the goddess heket with a swan on her head. Two styles from the Egyptian and Greek period integrated into one figure. Therefore dates to the Ptolemaic period. (Zeus came to Leda in the form of a swan in Greek mythology).Unfortunately more detailed than the picture portrays. Measures 3 inches wide. Provenance: Collected by Gustave Jéquier (1868-1946) |
