Here you find an ancient Egyptian scarab made of red jasper. This little beetle has a crosshatched plinth with defined legs and head. Has suspension hole and the underside engraved with a star type symbol. Dates to circa the Middle Kingdom and measures 17mm in length. Provenance: Gustave Jequier (1868-1946) Authentication: Gayle Gibson, Egyptologist.
